Tomorrow will be our first spelling test.  We have practiced our words this week using the following activities:
1.  Look, say, cover, write, check
2.  Rainbow write
3.  Blue vowels
4.  Sentences

Here is a sample.

In science we have been learning about the parts of plants and the job each part does. Today we examined pieces of celery and noticed we could see tiny circles that are the ends of the little tubes that go up the stem. To see the function of the stem in action we put pieces of celery in water and then added food colouring. We made our hypothesis about what will happen overnight. Tomorrow morning we will check to see what happened.
